Owen and Connal didn't want the usual boring job, so they grabbed some shears and launched C&O Lawn Care. What started as weekend mowing grew into a shared passion for hands‑on craftsmanship and vibrant, healthy yards.

Connal Johnston

I’m Connal Johnston. In 2024, as two clueless 14‑year‑olds, Owen and I passed on greasy fast‑food shifts and grabbed mowers instead. We priced jobs by the glass of lemonade, battled stubborn weeds, suffered the wrath of an angry neighbor, and nearly lost a mower to one mysteriously deep backyard puddle.

We kept going and learned that honest, hands‑on work speaks louder than any drive‑thru headset.

I’m Owen Benkert. Connal and I saw a need for quality, reliable yard care in our area. So we swapped out our spreadsheets for shears, invested in the right gear, and got to work. From mowing and edging to precise trimming, word‑of‑mouth fueled our growth.
